Recording Equipment Update As we move forward with the project, we’re now in the process of sourcing the right recording equipment to ensure high-quality production. This includes selecting the best cameras, microphones, and lighting setups that will help bring our vision to life. We’re focusing on finding gear that will provide crisp, clear visuals and sound, while also being versatile enough to accommodate different scenes and locations. The goal is to invest in equipment that offers both reliability and flexibility, so we can achieve professional-level results while staying within budget. We’re also looking into tools for stabilizing shots, such as gimbals, and making sure we have all the necessary accessories like tripods, reflectors, and external monitors. Getting the right equipment is key to ensuring the technical aspects of the project match our creative goals. Once we’ve locked everything in, we’ll be ready to start shooting with confidence!

Scripts

Script Update: Almost Ready Our scripts are nearly complete! After working through the key scenes and dialogue, we're in the final stages of refinement. The story is really starting to come together, and the characters are beginning to feel more developed and dynamic. We’ve reviewed the pacing and flow to ensure the narrative unfolds smoothly, with each scene contributing to the overall arc. At this point, it's just a matter of polishing the details and making sure everything aligns with the vision we have for the project. I’m excited to move into the next phase once the scripts are finalized and ready for production!

Colour grading practice

Color Grading Practice Update Today, I focused on color grading as part of my video editing practice. I experimented with different color correction techniques to enhance the visual mood and atmosphere of the footage. My main goal was to adjust the contrast, highlights, and shadows to give the video a polished and cinematic look. I worked on fine-tuning the white balance to ensure that the colors looked natural and consistent across different shots. I also played with different color schemes to convey various emotions—cool tones for a calm, somber feel, and warmer tones to add energy and vibrance to the scene. Additionally, I practiced using LUTs (Look-Up Tables) to apply creative color effects that enhanced the visual storytelling. This allowed me to experiment with different styles and get a better sense of how color grading can set the overall tone of the video. This session was a great learning experience. I gained a deeper understanding of how color grading can elevate the vi...

Photography Practice Update: Editing for Clarity During today’s practice session, I spent some time editing my photos to improve their clarity and overall quality. After capturing the images, I focused on enhancing the sharpness and adjusting the exposure to bring out the details in the shot. I also worked on fine-tuning the contrast and brightness, ensuring that the photo looked vibrant without losing any important details. One of my main goals was to remove any blurriness or noise in the image, and I used various editing tools to achieve a clearer, more defined result. I experimented with sharpening filters and noise reduction techniques to make sure the final image was crisp and visually appealing. This editing practice was an important step in improving my photography workflow. It taught me how to balance technical adjustments while maintaining the natural feel of the picture, and I’m excited to apply these skills to future projects!

Photography Practice Update Today, I dedicated some time to refining my photography skills, focusing on capturing different angles, lighting techniques, and compositions. It was an excellent opportunity to experiment with both natural and artificial light, and to see how different setups can dramatically affect the mood and feel of an image. I paid particular attention to framing and perspective, practicing techniques like leading lines, rule of thirds, and focusing on subjects from various angles. I also worked on adjusting the settings for different lighting conditions, ensuring I could get the perfect shot regardless of the environment. Overall, it was a productive session. Each photo I took helped me better understand the nuances of photography, and I’m excited to continue honing my skills and applying them to the upcoming media project.

Video practice (tracking)

Rehearsal Update: Practicing Camera Tracking Today, we focused on practicing camera tracking, which added a dynamic element to our scenes. By moving the camera along with the actors, we were able to create a more immersive experience, following the characters’ movements and capturing the action in a fluid, continuous way. This technique allowed us to emphasize the pacing of the scenes and draw the audience deeper into the unfolding story. It was exciting to see how tracking shots can add energy and engagement to the visuals. The actors adapted well to the movement, and it will be a great tool to create a seamless, engaging flow in the final project. We’re looking forward to incorporating more tracking shots in future rehearsals and the final shoot!
