Creating the tension

Note on Creating Tension Creating tension was a key focus in our film, especially since we aimed to build a strong horror atmosphere. We used a combination of slow pacing, dim lighting, and carefully timed sound effects to keep the audience on edge. The camera movements were intentionally steady and slow, making viewers feel like something unexpected could happen at any moment. We also used silence strategically to make sudden sounds more shocking. All these elements worked together to build suspense and draw the audience deeper into the story.

Rehearsing scenes

No te on Rehearsing Scenes Rehearsing scenes was an important part of our preparation process. It helped the actors understand their roles better and allowed us to test how the dialogue and movements would flow on camera. During rehearsals, we made small changes to improve pacing, expressions, and timing. This step also helped us identify any awkward moments or unclear actions, so we could fix them before the actual shoot. Overall, rehearsals made our scenes feel more natural and confident on film.

Sound effects

Note on Sound Effects Sound effects played a crucial role in enhancing the horror element of our film. We used eerie background sounds, sudden sharp noises, and unsettling ambient tones to build tension and keep the audience on edge. These sounds helped create a chilling atmosphere, making each scene more immersive and emotionally intense. The timing and volume of the effects were carefully adjusted to emphasize key moments and jumpscares.

Night scene Settings

Note on Night Scene Lighting We kept the night scenes dark and added lamp lighting to create a more intense and eerie atmosphere. The darkness builds suspense and fear, while the soft, focused glow of the lamp adds a dramatic effect, highlighting certain details and keeping the rest in shadow. This contrast helps draw the viewer’s attention and adds depth to the horror mood we aimed to create.

Clothing and set

Note on Costume Choice for Horror Scene We chose these particular clothes to enhance the horror element of the scene. The dark, worn-out, and slightly oversized clothing creates a sense of discomfort and unease, which fits the mood of the story. The colors are muted and gloomy to reflect fear and mystery. These wardrobe choices help set the tone, making the characters appear more unsettling and the overall atmosphere more intense.

First day of shooting

Note on First Day of Shooting Today is our first day of shooting. We are excited to finally begin bringing our project to life. The team is prepared, and all equipment is set up. We aim to capture as much footage as possible while staying organized and focused. This marks the beginning of turning our idea into reality.

Idea minor changes

Note on Slight Change in Movie Idea I have made a slight change to my movie idea to improve the overall flow and message. While the core concept remains the same, I adjusted certain elements to make the story more engaging and easier to execute with the resources available. These changes help clarify the narrative and better reflect the theme I want to convey.

Projects location

Shooting Location Choice Note I chose my house as the shooting location for my project because it offered convenience, control, and comfort. Being familiar with the environment allowed me to plan my shots more effectively and work without interruptions. It also helped reduce travel time and costs. Most importantly, I had full control over the lighting, setup, and timing, which made the entire shooting process smoother and more efficient.
