Note on Camera Angles for Our Short Horror Film Objective: In our short horror film, we will employ a range of camera angles to enhance the storytelling and create a chilling atmosphere. Each angle will help shape the audience's perception and emotional response, contributing to the overall horror experience. Planned Camera Angles: 1. High Angle: Purpose: To shoot from above the subject, looking down. Effect: This angle makes characters appear vulnerable or powerless, enhancing feelings of fear and helplessness, especially in critical moments of danger. 2. Low Angle: Purpose: To shoot from below the subject, looking up. Effect: This angle can make characters seem larger, more menacing, or more powerful, heightening tension and creating an intimidating presence for antagonists. 3. Inspirations

Image
Note on Inspiration for Choosing the Horror Genre.  Inspiration Source: Our decision to focus on the horror genre for our short film project was significantly influenced by our exposure to realistic-looking Arabic horror videos. These videos captivated us with their intense storytelling and the unique cultural elements they incorporated, which set them apart from typical horror narratives. Conclusion: The realistic Arabic horror videos not only inspired us to choose this genre but also encouraged us to explore the richness of cultural storytelling. I aim to infuse elements from these inspirations into our short film, crafting a narrative that is both authentic and haunting, ultimately delivering a unique horror experience.

Versatility: We can easily change settings and quickly adapt to different filming conditions. Accessibility: Since most people have smartphones with good cameras, we can share the filming process and behind-the-scenes content seamlessly. Practical Effects: By adjusting the distance and angle of the torch, we can create varying intensities of light, cont...

Colour emotions

Image
Application in our Short Horror Film: For your horror film, consider using the following color palette to enhance the emotional impact: 1. Dominant Color: Red Use red in critical scenes to evoke fear and highlight moments of violence or danger. This can be through lighting, props, or costumes. 2. Supporting Color: Black Employ black to create shadows and a sense of foreboding. Dark settings can amplify tension and create an atmosphere of uncertainty. 3. Accent Color: Green Incorporate green in scenes that depict decay or the supernatural, such as eerie lighting or backgrounds that suggest something unnatural. 4. Subtle Touches of Blue Use blue tones in scenes to evoke isolation or sadness, especially in moments where characters experience despair or dread. 5. Hints of Yellow Implement yellow sparingly to suggest anxiety or a sense of warning, creating an unsettling feeling in specific scenes.
